![]() ![]() If your elite works out of the box then I'd say elite depending on your stick preference. For only 20$ more you get a way better overall experience. Which is a carry case, charging wire, 4 sticks, and some grips. Scuf let's you choose which sticks you want and also sends you 2 extras with the remote and 6 extras (in total) if you get the beginner pack. The elite removed my personal favorite sticks so I can't even use it if I wanted to unless I order extra sticks which shouldn't be a thing. Some people get lucky and get perfect ones and if that's the case I'd say depending on what joysticks you like I'd go for either or. But I've had the scuf for about a week or two now and I haven't had any problems. even sent my 3rd one to Microsoft to be repaired and they said it worked perfectly after some repairs and when I got it back it had the exact same problems. And the joysticks have drifted on all 4 I have owned right out of the box. The vibration feels very junky sometimes. The triggers sometimes unresponsive which gets you killed. Paddles rarely work, face buttons work like 70% of the time. My elite 2 along with 3 others that I've owned all have the same problems. I have the elite series 2 and the scuf instinct pro and I highly recommend the pro over the elite 2. but overall i'm liking the first impression. Will this controller make me a better player? Too early to tell of course. my kontrol freek omni's fit perfectly on the scuf thumbsticks. ![]() for instance on the instinct you can only map the regular buttons on the paddles (ie you can't map Y to RB, or B to left trigger, only button to paddle) Elite 2 does have much more software features for added customizing. mappable paddles - super easy to map the paddles with just clicks of the button, don't need to enter the accessories app like the elite 2. overall feels really nice, just takes some more getting used to. the hair trigger is even shorter than the shortest elite setting, BUT it feel it's a bit harder to rapid spam the trigger since the button click feels so deliberate. triggers - full trigger is really smooth, though i don't feel its great for rapid pulls. just will take more muscle memory training to get used the new paddles. on the elite i only use 2 paddles as 4 felt a bit awkward with my hands. i find it a bit awkward to hit the top paddles, you kinda have to use your the side of your nail and press up. paddles - will def take some getting used to. tension-wise, i'm thinking they are more tight when compared to the series x controller, and about as tight as the tighter setting on elite 2 sticks are really smooth, might prefer them a tad more than the elite2. overall feel/shape is similar to the series x controller, added grips are great! elite 2 is a bit heavy Received my instinct pro earlier today! so far have about an hour of play time (halo mcc). ![]()
